78 Reasons To Worship Me

When you are working hard on a specific project it can be really helpful and revitalizing to do something completely different for a while. This is how 78 Reasons To Worship Me came to life.

After working on several Krijs releases, ISB wanted to “renew his ears and vibe” while improving his guitar- and songwriting skills. No idea if that worked, but what came out was a type of music that instantly woke up a spark of energy.

After a couple of “78 sessions” ISB decided to upgrade to a formal project. Since he handles a lot of vocal duties for other bands and projects it seemed logical to ask somebody else to stretch the vocal chords. So … after a short while Richard Snijder came bouncing in. ISB had seen him perform with his band Deadly Alliance and was impressed with his high energy performance and unique sound. The first single Not To Fall was recorded in a jiffy. A video was shot right after. The guys have a great chemistry as you can see in the blooper video. After this first song they immediately went on recording a second one, Who Truth Seeks. They are now recording their first full length album.

78 Reasons has a strong 70’ies doom/rock vibe with a whiff of the early second wave of Blackmetal grandeur. It is music to dive into your soul and find that there is a lot of shit to solve, but there is a small light at the end of the tunnel. We will amplify that light.

We do get some questions about the name. Without spoiling the fun for people who like to create their own system of belief, we can tell you this: it has its roots in the numerological theories, combined with the philosophical aspect of worship, be it the worshiper or the worshiped.

Give them a try and find that exploring the darker parts of your life and soul does not necessarily exclude having a shitload of fun.
